SUMMARY:Giving Tuesday is December 3rd
DESCRIPTION:It’s the holiday season and Giving Tuesday is here! You might be asking yourself what exactly Giving Tuesday is. Giving Tuesday is a “Holiday” for Non-profits\, it falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving which this year will be December 3rd. Giving Tuesday is similar to Black Friday and Cyber Monday only better. \nWhile those “Holidays” allow you to purchase consumer products at a discounted rate\, Giving Tuesday provides you the opportunity to actually make a positive and meaningful impact on other people’s lives during the season of giving. \nYou will not see any TV commercials\, targeted ads\, or articles about it\, you won’t see any people staying up late and standing in line outside a large retail superstore for it\, but Giving Tuesday is just as if not more so beneficial than Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The dollars you spend on Giving Tuesday will give you a better feeling than any flat screen tv ever will. \nThe Myocarditis Foundation has a commitment to keeping our administrative expenses very low so that we can provide the lion share of all our donations committed to supporting our mission. We strive to put every donation given to us towards directly furthering our mission and goals.  One of the pillars of our Foundation is Supporting Patients & Families our Foundation provides resources\, guidance\, and support to families facing this diagnosis\, helping them navigate a complex and often frightening medical journey. \nOne of the ways we provide support to those impacted by myocarditis is by hosting a yearly family support meeting. At this meeting we give all those affected by myocarditis the opportunity to talk with other individuals who are facing the same battle they are\, and to show them they are not alone in this fight. We also bring industry experts to talk and share their expertise and research into the diagnosis and treatment of Myocarditis as well as answer any questions or concerns patients\, survivors and family members might have. \nThis year’s agenda was expanded to include a focus on well-being\, self-care\, and healing. It was held over two and half days and at no cost to the attendees. Events like these would not be possible without the donations from our supporters. Read for yourself some of the impact statements attendees and doctors who were able to make this event told us: \n“For me attending the Myocarditis Foundation conference was not just about  learning from experts but also meeting patients and care givers.  \nIt was a profound reminder that empathy and understanding are as crucial as medical knowledge in our journey toward healing and support.” \n“Amazing to be able to connect with everyone as it can feel very isolating- a huge thank you!!!” \n“I now know – I am not the only one “ \n“This meeting changed our family’s life.” \nWe ask you donate today\, whether it’s $5 or $500\, every dollar brings us closer to a world where myocarditis no longer takes lives or devastates families. With your help\, we can drive change\, fuel hope\, and work toward a future free from the heartache of myocarditis. \nDonate today and make a difference this Giving Tuesday. Together\, we can save lives.

SUMMARY:Abby Nellessen Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n\n\nHi! I am currently a Senior in High School and I am doing a project on Myocarditis in an attempt to raise awareness about the condition. Myocarditis is the inflammation of the middle layer of the heart walls. Myocarditis is a rare condition that affects around 200\,000 people per year. With this project I am focused on informing people about the symptoms and risk factors of this condition to improve the chance of early diagnosis which leads to a much more successful outcome of the condition. Please consider donating any amount big or small to the Myocarditis Foundation so they can continue to raise awareness and perform research on this condition. Thank you!

SUMMARY:Michael Conte's 2025 New York City Marathon
DESCRIPTION:  \nI am thrilled to announce that I will be running in the 2025 New York City Marathon on behalf of the Myocarditis Foundation. This foundation holds a special place in my heart\, as my best friend\, Jordan Isaacs\, was diagnosed with this rare disease in early 2022. Having witnessed him compete in multiple triathlons with this disease\, I am committed to raising awareness for the foundation while training to run 26.2 miles! \nMyocarditis is a rare disease that affects thousands of adults and children globally each year. The Myocarditis Foundation\, established to provide resources for those affected\, is a cause I am truly passionate about supporting. \nI have set a fundraising goal of $5\,000 to be reached by race day on November 2nd. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will directly support the Myocarditis Foundation. \nMichael Conte

SUMMARY:Patrick Kelly 2026 NYC Marathon
DESCRIPTION:At 32 years old\, I’m a proud Houstonian\, born and raised in Kingwood\, and a four-time marathoner. When I’m not running\, you can usually find me cycling\, hiking\, enjoying live music\, or spending time with my best friend—my one-year-old daughter\, Ruby. \nI work in my family’s manufacturing business\, where we create products across the family and leisure space—from mini golf supplies to motorcycle grips and golf equipment. It’s a hands-on\, fast-paced environment that’s taught me the value of resilience\, consistency\, and showing up. \nIn 2021\, while training for a marathon\, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer\, an earth shattering moment that changed the way I viewed the gift of life. Learning to accept what seemed to be unacceptable\, running became a fix for me that I knew I could rely on. It grounded me in my world of uncertainty and challenged me to define myself in a way that a diagnosis couldn’t. \nWhile I haven’t personally known someone affected by myocarditis\, I deeply understand what it feels like to have your life suddenly disrupted by a serious diagnosis. That perspective is what drives me to run with purpose and to support causes that help others facing unexpected health challenges. \nThis race is more than just another finish line—it’s a chance to to raise awareness and to support those navigating their own battles. I want to run fast for the people that wish they could.

SUMMARY:Abby Beltrani 2026 NYC Marathon
DESCRIPTION:My name is Abby Beltrani – I’m honored to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with the Myocarditis Foundation to raise awareness and support research for myocarditis. \nFamily\, friends\, and athletics have always been the foundation of my life. When a close friend of mine was diagnosed with myocarditis\, it really opened my eyes to how much of a ‘silent disease’ this is and how important the research is to support patients and families facing this diagnosis. Seeing a friend navigate the challenges of myocarditis and rising up to complete his own amazing athletic achievements despite his diagnosis has been inspiring.  \nThe NYC marathon presents an incredible opportunity to combine all parts of my life that are most important\, and run for something bigger than myself.  \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Kyle Kirsch 2026 NYC Marathon
DESCRIPTION:I’m excited to run the 2026 New York City Marathon in honor and memory of my son\, Quinn\, and in support of the Myocarditis Foundation. Quinn was the youngest of our four boys and was only 8 years old when we lost him suddenly to myocarditis. I am running alongside our son Connor\, who is 27. \nWe are proud to support the Myocarditis Foundation at the NYC Marathon. In Quinn’s honor\, we recently held the 13th annual Quinn’s Cup Hockey Tournament—a youth hockey tournament in our community of Edina\, Minnesota. The tournament has helped raise funds for the Myocarditis Foundation and increase awareness of this disease. \nRunning the New York City Marathon is another meaningful way to support this important cause. Connor and I are looking forward to the challenge. \nMy fundraising goal is to raise $5\,000 by race day on November 1st.
