As you may or may not know, Myocarditis and Giant Cell Myocarditis are classified as Rare Diseases. As such, these diseases were not taught in medical schools. Now, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Leslie Cooper, they are taught, they are diagnosed more frequently, and more patients are surviving.
What you need to know is that the sooner Myocarditis is correctly diagnosed, the better the patient outcomes are. We need to continue to carry out our mission of raising education/awareness and funds for research; we cannot do this without your help.
