Saturday morning, October 17th, was the Myocarditis Foundation’s first Family Meeting Zoom Call. We had 35 participants in attendance representing 26 families, most who were first time family meeting participants. Questions were requested in advance, but the Chat Window was open for last minute requests. Our Board member cardiologists, Dr. Jack Price, a pediatric cardiologist at Texas Children’s Hospital and member of the Foundation since 2014 along with Dr. Leslie Cooper, an adult cardiologist who is the Chair of the Enterprise Department of Cardiovascular Medicine for Mayo Clinic, myocarditis researcher and co-founder of the Myocarditis Foundation, were our speakers on the panel fielding questions from our participants. We have already had a number of requests asking when our next call will be, and we will be looking at other doctors and researchers to participate.
