A cold settled in Noah’s heart, causing severe inflammation (myocarditis) and a 38-day battle with heart failure, ECMO, and 7 surgeries (5 open-heart). Damage from the virus could not be overcome and he needed a heart transplant, but his beautifully broken body never got there.
