In 2012 #GivingTuesday was started as a global initiative that celebrates generosity and kindness by giving to non-profit organizations all around the world.

In the same way that Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick off the Holiday Buying Season, #GivingTuesday kicks off the Giving Season, highlighting the true meaning of what this time of the year is all about.

This philanthropic holiday sets itself apart as a social media celebration. Donors who give to charities on # Giving Tuesday, often share about their favorite causes on FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. and encourage their friends to give, too.

What makes us different than all the others you might ask…

Myocarditis is a disease that so often affects otherwise healthy children and young adults. It strikes without warning and is the 3rd leading cause of sudden death in that age group. The symptoms are the same as many viral childhood illnesses and most often is misdiagnosed as those illnesses.  We are working on educating both the medical and public communities about this disease so that they look further, think outside the box, and possibly save a life. Early diagnosis is key to improved outcomes from this disease.

Your donations help to educate and will raise funding for research to help find the reason why it attacks some but not others…the most common virus that causes myocarditis is the Coxsackie virus…this virus affects just about everyone at one point in their lives…help us stop myocarditis from stopping your child from living life to the fullest.

Please help the Myocarditis Foundation by making your donation on our website, myocarditis.viewsamplesite.com/donate-now or by sending your check to the Myocarditis Foundation at 3518 Echo Mountain Drive   Kingwood, Texas  77345.  Share this information on the importance of donating to the Myocarditis Foundation, such a deserving cause, with your social media friends and contacts.  Read more about our foundation and see our Gold Star Status on GuideStar, a major public monitoring group of 501c3 charities.

Please encourage your friends to share this information as well so that we can get the word out to as many as we can.

Most people do not know about Myocarditis until it affects them. Help us change that and those that it affects. Thank you for your generosity.
