To all our California friends and family or
if you will be in the Southern California area on Tuesday February 9th….
Candace Moose will be in town to raise awareness for Myocarditis !
Candace is a Giant Cell Myocarditis Survivor and Heart Transplant recipient, who started the Myocarditis Foundation in 2005 with Dr. Leslie Cooper from the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Mario Deng, (her cardiologist who now heads up the Heart Failure Program at UCLA) enlisted the help of Dr. Cooper to save her life, as there was even less know at that time in 2001 about the disease and Dr. Cooper was the world renowned expert on the disease.
The mission of the Myocarditis Foundation is to support research into Myocarditis, Educate both the medical and lay communities about the latest on the disease and emotionally support families affected by the disease, with a Goal to Save More Lives and Prevent the Sudden Death that so often is associated with it.
Stop by and meet her, bring her book (The Grateful Heart) for her to sign, eat some delicious food, and enjoy the experience…
Come eat, learn, and help us raise awareness for Myocarditis !
