The Myocarditis Foundation’s 4th Annual Family Support Meeting is honored to have
Dr. Betsy Blume from Boston Children’s Hospital as a guest speaker!

Born in the Boston, Massachusetts area, Dr. Blume was a patient for many years of her childhood at Boston Children’s Hospital. Even though she was young, the experience inspired her to want to become a doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital when she grew up.

Today, Dr. Blume is the Medical Director of the Cardiomyopathy, Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation Program at BCH. Her focus is on the child and the family.

For our meeting, Dr. Blume’s tentative topic will be:

The Psychosocial Impact of Myocarditis on Families and Children.

Dr. Blume has spoken on this topic at other conferences and has received much positive feedback on the topic. While there will be many of you at our conference who have lost loved ones to this disease, there are also many that are survivors and dealing with the ongoing difficulties many times related to being a survivor.

Dr. Blume is just one of our myocarditis specialists who will be a presenter at the meeting.

Please consider joining us for our 4th Annual Family Support Meeting on September 16th and 17th at the Gaylord Palms.
