Mayo Clinic recently received 26 million dollars from BARDA, (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority) for the COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Expanded Access Program.
Dr. DeLisa Fairweather and Dr. Katelyn Bruno have been working tirelessly, 24/7, on this project which is aimed at fighting the COVID-19 Virus.
Dr. Fairweather, a member of the Myocarditis Foundation Medical Advisory Board, is a co-investigator on the study and Dr. Bruno, a member of Dr. Fairweather’s lab at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville Florida is the co-chair of the Data Management Committee and both are part of the Oversight Committee Expanded Access Program.
