The Myocarditis Foundation was proud to attend the Humble ISD Health & Wellness Community Event on Thursday, February 19th. Events like these give us a valuable opportunity to connect directly with families in our community, share important information, and educate people about myocarditis — including the signs and symptoms.

Raising awareness about myocarditis is at the heart of our mission. Community health fairs play a critical role in that effort. They allow us to meet people face-to-face, answer questions in real time, and break down complex medical information into something clear and understandable. What stood out most at this event was how many people had either never heard of myocarditis or knew very little about it. That knowledge gap is exactly why outreach matters.

When someone learns the warning signs of myocarditis — such as chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, or an irregular heartbeat — they are better equipped to seek medical attention early. Early recognition can make a life-saving difference. By providing educational materials and handouts, we’re not just informing one person — we’re empowering them to share that knowledge with their families, friends, schools, and workplaces.

We encourage all of our followers and supporters to look for health fairs and wellness events happening in your own communities. Grassroots awareness is powerful. If you’re interested in raising awareness about myocarditis at a local event, we are more than happy to provide educational materials and resources that you can print and distribute.

It truly takes all of us working together to raise awareness about myocarditis. Every conversation counts, and every event brings us one step closer to a more informed and prepared community.
