All of us at the Myocarditis Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for 20 years of unwavering support and dedication! Our mission to raise awareness, provide support, and advance research for myocarditis would not be possible without the dedication of allies like you.
Your contributions—whether through monetary donations, volunteering, or simply liking and sharing our social media posts or newsletters—have been the cornerstone of our progress. This 20-year milestone is not just a celebration of our foundation; it is a testament to the power of collective effort and the impact of a compassionate community united in the fight against myocarditis.
Founded in 2005 by Dr. Leslie Cooper and Candace Moose, the Myocarditis Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission to raise awareness and advance scientific research. Over the past two decades, we have awarded 27 research grants totaling $1.1 million, funding groundbreaking discoveries in the diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis.
In addition to our research efforts, we have hosted an annual Family Support Meeting for the past 11 years. These gatherings bridge the gap between patients and doctors, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations and mutual understanding. They also provide a space for families of survivors and victims of myocarditis to connect, ensuring that no one feels alone in this journey.
As we look to the future, we are more determined than ever to build on this legacy and continue making a difference in the lives of those affected by myocarditis. Together, we have worked tirelessly to save lives, and your continued engagement inspires us to do even more.
Thank you for standing with us through this incredible journey.
With Gratitude,
Leslie Cooper, MD and Candace Moose
