The Myocarditis Foundation will be holding is 2nd Annual Patient and Family Support Meeting from June 7th-June 8th, 2014 in Point Pleasant, NJ. Please see the attached flyer for the official Save-The-Date.
The Patient and Family Support Meeting is an opportunity for those affected by myocarditis to come together, learn about the disease, discover the leading research being done in the myocarditis field, and talk with experts who treat and study myocarditis. The support meeting also allows patients and families to meet and collaborate with people who may share similar stories; creating lasting friendships and finding those you can lean on for support.
The meeting will begin with a dinner cruise on Saturday evening, June 7th. The next morning the meeting will start at 8:00am with a continental breakfast. Leading physicians and researchers will give talks about myocarditis, with lengthy question and answer sessions. The meeting will conclude with lunch, served at 12:30.
This year’s location will be in Point Pleasant, NJ at the White Sands Beachfront Hotel and Spa. Point Pleasant is a wonderful family vacation destination with lots to do right on the Jersey Shore. Discount tickets for rides, beach access, food concessions, aquarium, and fun-house are available with prior notice given to [email protected].
Reservations can be made at the White Sands Beachfront Hotel. We recommend reservations be made as soon as possible, as summer is a popular time for vacationers to Point Pleasant. Other hotels are within walking distance and can be found at www.jenkinsons.com.
It is recommended that all return flights be made with a departure after 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon. The closest airport is Newark Airport in NJ, which is about a 50-minute drive. Philadelphia is the next closest airport, which is a 90-minute drive. New York City is close by as well, and could be a fun addition to your trip.
