“Myocarditis, Heart Failure and Arrhythmias in Patients with Zika”
That is the title of Mayo Clinic Cardiology fellow, Dr. Karina Gonzalez Carta, presentation next week at The American College of Cardiology (ACC) Meeting in Washington DC.
ABC News released a story about Dr. Gonzalez Carta’s findings titled “Doctors tie Zika virus to heart problems in some adults” and although the article is describing myocarditis they never use the term.
More than 13,000 cardiologists and medical professionals attend ACC and we hope that Dr. Gonzalez Carta’s talk will lead to increased awareness about myocarditis in the medical community.
