The Myocarditis Foundation would like to announce that the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award was awarded to Dr. Bettina Heidecker’s fellow, Dr. Jan Kottwitz, and her team of myocarditis researchers by The American Heart Association.
They received this for their work in describing myoglobin as a valuable biomarker to estimate disease severity of myocarditis measured as extent of late gadolinium enhancement on cardiac resonance imaging (MRI).
The Foundation extends our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Kottwitz, Dr. Heidecker and her team for their ongoing research in myocarditis and their efforts to put a stop to this disease.
