Young Man Training for a Marathon Becomes a Victim of Myocarditis
John was a healthy 31 year old when he was taken so suddenly by myocarditis

My son John was 31 years old. He died on July 13, 2012. He took up running about 1 year or so before he died. He was training for a marathon.
On July 13, 2012 he had come home from work and took a run before having to go to his second job as a DJ. He was not feeling 100% but decided to go to work anyway. It was just before 9:00 pm while driving to work, he passed out and his car veered off the road and struck a tree. He died on the scene from head trauma.
John was born with a VSD so the ME decided to examine his heart further and discovered, after 8 weeks, that John had bacteria that was lodged in his heart muscle and the cause of the accident was that his heart stopped from myocarditis.
