Joe Considers Himself a Walking Miracle

The Myocarditis Foundation is proud to announce that it will designate a research fellowship grant in the 2013/14 season in honor of Joseph Rumore Sr. of Parsippany, New Jersey, for his consistent and tireless efforts to raise funds for the Myocarditis Foundation over the past five years through his successful annual golf tournament.

Mr. Rumore, a myocarditis survivor and heart transplant of six years, serves on the Board of Directors of the Myocarditis Foundation and is a dedicated advocate for the mission and goals of the foundation. He has raised more money individually to support the Foundation than any other donor, allowing the foundation to fund one research grant per year through his events.  Not surprisingly, Mr. Rumore takes no credit for himself and instead credits his devoted wife and children for their contribution as supporting staff, and he sincerely thanks his dear friends who support the event every year.

This year’s golf tournament will be held on September 10th at Crystal Springs Golf Resort in Vernon, NJ. For more information please email Lindsey(at)myocarditis.viewsamplesite.com or call the MF office at (732) 295-3700.
