The Myocarditis Foundation is pleased and excited to announce that one of our recent Fellowship Grant recipients has received and accepted a Research Grant from the American Heart Association (AHA). Dr. Pan Ma, from Washington University has accepted the AHA Grant, which is at a higher level of funding, for her research project. A researcher cannot accept two grants for the same project.
There is, however, another Research Fellow who is working on Dr. Ma’s research project with her, Dr. Andrew Koenig, PhD. We will be awarding the Fellowship Grant for his work on the project to him instead.
Dr. Kory Lavine, MD, PhD, Associate Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Research at Washington University, is also the preceptor on the project, “Defining the Spatial Proteomic and Transcriptomic Landscape of Myocarditis.” (Layman description to follow shortly.)
Congratulations, to Dr. Andrew Koenig, PhD, from the Myocarditis Foundation!
