On Saturday October 23, 2021, we had our 3rd Virtual Family Meeting this year, via Zoom, with Specialists and Researchers in the Field of Myocarditis and Pericarditis. There were attendees from 6 countries around the world to hear answers to their questions from 5 specialists in these fields as well as a PhD Fellow in Dr. DeLisa Fairweather’s lab give a brief synopsis of his myocarditis research.

Dr. Leslie Cooper and Dr. DeLisa Fairweather from the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Wilson Tang and Dr. Allan Klein from the Cleveland Clinic, and Dr. Justin Godown from Vanderbilt-Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital were the specialists on the panel. Damian DiFlorio was the PhD candidate who presented his myocarditis research.

In addition, Dr. Leslie Cooper asked if you’d like to participate in a study on the Emotional Impact of Myocarditis, that has been funded by the Myocarditis Foundation in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic.

Clinical studies help us to learn more about a disease and better ways to treat it.

The results of the study will be an important addition to our understanding of the disease. The study is an online survey that will ask several questions related to demographics, general health, stress, anxiety and depression. Your responses are confidential.
